One Busy Summer

Okay...so I gave my sister a hard time when she started her blog (because moms of young children don't have anything else to do in their free time). Then I realized that I read it and check it all the time. Since sisters always have to copy each other...here is our first Bliven Family Blog so that you can check in from time to time and see what we are up to!

So far we have had one busy summer. Here are a few of the fun things that we have been doing:

First, you know that it's summer when Cooper (our Yorkie) gets his annual haircut.
Brady, our gardener, and Brad planted flowers in front of the house to make sure that it looked pretty!

Then, we had our first family camping trip in the tent in the backyard. It took a whole day of preparation and a whole day of recuperation.

Now that we have moved out to "the country" we are regulars at the J Bar W Ranch "Battle of the Beast". This was the first rodeo of the summer.

We even spent an interesting afternoon going "Bear Hunting" in Crystal Grottoes in Boonesboro, Maryland.

We supported our local Walkersville Volunteer Fire Department by attending the annual Carnival. Brady rode the rides all night long!

We spent a day in Washington D.C. getting kisses from Grace and stopping at the National Zoo.

We spent an evening with Grandma and Papa Bliven at the Frederick Keys baseball game. There were even fireworks! (which we decided weren't so scary this time).

Of course we still have still done normal summer things like:

swimming,
reading,

and blowing bubbles.

Check back later to see what else we get ourselves into before heading back to school in the fall.
