During our visit to the science center we purchased a baking soda rocket ship. We took it out to Heritage Park one afternoon loaded down with baking soda and vinegar to launch it. We had a few good attempts, but nothing spectacular. The wind was blowing, which definitely didn't put the launch in our favor. There were times when the rocket would tip on it's side and shoot across the grass. We did have one great launch, though the rocket didn't really go straight up, it went up about 10 feet, turn 90 degrees and then went horizontally for about 60 feet. It was pretty funny, but it was definitely entertaining to watch Brad and Brady. We have some pretty amateur video that I shot on the day as well. It was a great activity on a beautiful spring day!Tuesday, April 28, 2009
