Sunday, July 26th, Brooke was baptized into the Catholic Church. The baptism was beautiful, though the mass was LONG. Because our priest was transferred to a new parish, we had a visiting pastor and Deacon Tim did the baptism. A few highlights were the VBS kids singing at the beginning of mass, the deacon trying to start the baptism while Brady, Carter, and Sophia were in C.L.O.W., so I had to stop the mass and go get them, Brooke's pacifier fell out when he poured water on her head and landed in the baptismal font. It was a day that we will never forget!
Brooke wore the baptism gown that has been worn by me, Susie, and Sophia. She looked beautiful and had a beautiful cross necklace from Grandma and Pa Busche and a Baptism bracelet from Aunt Susie and Uncle Nick. The cuff bracelet is also made to go in her hair for her First Communion and around her bouquet for her Wedding.
We had lunch back at our house where the kids had a chance to play and the adults had a chance to chase after them! Life will be so different in a few years!
