What do you do with all the pumpkins after Halloween? Well, the Boy Scouts in our town chuck them across the town's park! Since Brad is the den leader of the Tiger Cubs, he had the honor of creating a pumpkin chucking device to use at the annual Pumpkin Launch. Brad is a great handyman, but we are limited on resource, time, and storage, so Brad created an "Angry Birds" style pumpkin launcher. It chucked the soccer ball across our backyard amazingly well. The pumpkins didn't do so great. The tiny pumpkins worked best, but the best part was that the kids could use the slingshot themselves. They had a blast!
...watch out for flying water balloons this summer coming from the Bliven yard!
